We are now opening up for auditions! As we come close to finishing up our first full-length, we want to start getting ready to take our act to the stage.
We are looking for versatile, multi-talented, & professional musicians. We are currently auditioning for the roles of bass and rhythm guitar (more auditions may be opening up soon). You will be expected to have your own gear and transportation. Please see other qualifications below:
- Comfortable with both contemporary picking styles and classical finger-style
- Comfortable switching between these styles, and adapting to new techniques that fit the music
- May be asked to step in for leads when necessary
- Finger-style is preferred, but different hybrid variations of picking/finger-style are also appreciated
- 5-string bass is required
- Comfortable playing multiple styles of music
- Comfortable with unusual song structures, switching time signatures (including odd-time), and modulating key signatures
We are NOT looking for: People who bring alcohol or drugs into the practice room (no, you do not play just as well with it), unreliable/flaky people, or people with ego issues
This will not start off as a collaborative project. You’ll need to start learning the current repertoire, but we still want to see you put your own style and feel into it. If good relationships form and the chemistry works, we’d love to see how things evolve down the road.
We are not concerned about your age, what you look like, or what kind of gear you prefer. We are looking for people with skill, passion, and professionalism. Players who share our passion for progressive music are welcome!
If you’re interested, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We can arrange both in-person and video auditions.
Our first full-length record has been taking shape and is still on it’s way! As we come closer to finishing up the tracking of our instrumentals, expect more announcements regarding the album title, artwork, track-listing, etc… For more updates, please remember to follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
It’s been a while, but I’ve begun tracking for what will be Event Horizon’s first full-length album. We will be posting future updates as things move forward.

I wanted to take some time to give some thanks to everyone who helped make this release a possibility. It took a lot of years of hard work and frustration to make this debut release a possibility, so I wanted to address everyone who supported me along the way.
My mom & dad – Both of whom have supported me without question in my musical endeavors. Thanks for helping me get through these stupid and crazy years while I try to finish my education. Putting out this release wouldn’t have been possible without either of your support. And my mother deserves a special note, because she can’t stand my style of music, yet has still stood behind it every step of the way.
My brother Sebastian – All the beautiful graphic design work you see here is his doing. Thanks for helping me build this up and bring to life what I couldn’t.
Bobby Miller – One of my oldest friends who has had my back both personally and musically for years. Also thanks for whoring out the EP to all your friends.
Other friends who helped by listening to the EP and giving their input along the way: Lauren, Sam S., Sam M., Jon, Justin of The Zenith Passage, and many others…
Also I’d like to mention my old friend Seth Payares who is no longer with us. Thanks for being a part of my life for the time you were here, and being an inspiration to keep pursuing my musical dreams.
I’m sure there has to be at least a few people I forgot, so if I did, a big thank you to you as well!
We’re really excited to announce the release of our debut EP, The Emancipation of Dissonance. We’d really love to thank all our loves ones, friends, and fans who have been so supportive in helping to make our vision come to reality. The EP is available on Bandcamp for $5.
